OK, so let's make one thing clear right from the get-go. I liked yesterday's tag, in fact I really liked it a lot, and so did many of you, which is great, and I thank those of you who left kind comments :) I did kinda feel though, that it was kinda messy where the holly met the face, so here is version 2. I like that the right side of the tag is dark, it makes for a better contrast with Santa's face, but I think the snowflakes are maybe a little large. What do you think? I do have a smaller snowflake stamp, so perhaps version 3 will appear tomorrow, only time will tell! :) Once again, there's a lot of Rock Candy Stickles on here, but it's only really caught the light in the photo on a corner of one of the snowflakes.
As ever, click on the image for a larger view, and thanks again for the comments, I really appreciate them! :)

Looks great, Dan, I really like this version, AND the kraft version. Hmm, maybe the flakes are a little large, but I think they're fine. Let's put it this way, the card I just did had flakes not at all in scale with the mini houses I used, and I still think it looked ok.
They are both great but I like the holly version better. I kind of liked the face near the holly. Liked the colors better too.
Love both Dan. I thought the 'simplicity' of the first tag was great. There is more 'drama' to this version using the dark background. Don't think the size of snowflakes is a problem but look forward to version 3.
Toni :o)
I really like the snowflakes, think it adds a bit of quirkiness (is that even a word?!). But I'm sure I'll love V.3 just as much!
Hi Dan
Both are fab but if I were to choose I would pick the holly one. I think I like the craft paper look of this one and the holly works well.
Scale is in the eye of the artist. While I like the contrast, I prefer yesterday's. But isn't it nice to have more fun playing?!?!?
Hi, Dan,
I honestly didn't notice the snowflakes until I read your blog entry, then went back for a second look. My eye was drawn to the dark circles between the flakes! I don't know if that helps you or not; YOU'RE surely the expert, not me!! I think you should make some of both for your gifts!!

The first thing I noticed with the tag is the negative space around the snowflakes; I suggest that you vary the size of the snowflakes or perhaps stamp a larger one framing Santa's face with smaller ones moving off of the tag. That being said, I like the overall composition of both tags.
I love this tag it is visually very dramatic. Annette x
I like this one, but it didn't catch my attention the way the first one did. The holly version made me want to make one of my own - this one didn't. Just sayin'... *LOL* Different strokes....
I like both santa tags - but if I HAD to choose I like the darker one. They look great!
