I am unwritten...

The theme over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "stamping on...".  I most often stamp on white card or manilla tags so I thought I'd change things up a little this week and stamp onto some patterned cardstock.  Why don't you get stamping onto an interesting surface and head over there to enter the challenge and be in the draw for a $50 shopping voucher?

I started out using a couple of Tim's layering stencils on my background, applying paint with an ink blending tool through the stencils.  After heat drying the paint I applied peeled paint and dusty concord distress ink to the card and edged with gathered twigs.  The two men from the Time Travelers set were stamped with black Archival ink and then stamped again onto a piece of cardstock from the Destinations pad.

After colouring with Promarkers I cut out parts of each figure and fixed them in place on my card, guided by the outline stamp images I had already made.  I used white gesso to paint out the face of one character and added a question mark with black Promarker.  As the final finishing touch I cut out the Alphabetical die from black cardstock and highlighted the letters I needed with a white pen and fixed them in place.  Job done! :)

Supplies I used included:

Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week, just make something for the challenge and you could the winner! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)

I never think to stamp on patterned papers unless 'paper-piecing' - must give it a try.

Super project Dan.
