A little bit of magic

The theme over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "Magic".  I decided to focus on that most classic of stage magician's tricks, sawing a lady in half.  Why not conjure up a little magic yourself and enter the Challenge - you could be the winner of a $50 voucher to shop at Simon Says Stamp.

My tag background is blended Distress Inks, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.  I added texture with stamps from the Mixed Media set and finished it off with the stars from the Big Top set (officially my favourite stars now), stamped with a Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink pad.

I used distress markers to colour the playing card stamp from the Creative Muse set - a technique I should really use more to be honest - too many techniques, too little time! :)  I cut out the card and fixed it in place.  I stamped the woman from the Classics #5 stamp set on printer paper and coloured it with gently blended distress ink before cutting out and fixing in place. Finally, I mounted the tag on black card for a bit of added oomph :)

Supplies I used included:

Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week, just make something for the challenge and you could the winner! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)
