The theme over on the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge is "the stamp I love but don't use". I've had these americana blueprint stamps kicking around in my craft room for a little while now and much as I love them, there's just not much call for 4th July stamps here in the UK! I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give them an outing :)
The right panel was stamped with the subway places from the Remnants stamp set and I added a vintage Uncle Sam panel from the Seasonal paper stash to hide the fact that the subway image didn't quite reach to the bottom of the panel. Finally I stamped and coloured the route 66 image from the Road Trip set and fixed it in place, then fixed the panel to the wood background.
Phew, that's about it! It was a lot of work but it was so nice to finally give these stamps an airing out of their packaging! :)
Supplies I used included:
Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week, just make something for the challenge and you could the winner! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)
Don't forget, Simon Says Stamp have a great Facebook page too! Check them out here!

Hello Dan! I love your Americana piece! If I didn't know you were a British gent, I would swear you're an American; how you've captured the sense of the Red, White and Blue with this piece! Love your collection of Tim's blue print stamps and how you've created such a lovely, bright colorful piece! <3 Candy
Fantastic use of the Americana stamps! I can see you might have a limited use for them. :) But you used them beautifully!
Hi Dan, love your American piece, the red, white and blue looks fantastic on this piece with a touch of distressing, perfect. The triptych is the perfect piece to showcase these images. Tracy x

I don't know why...I'm a bit strange...but I have to sing out, "Keep on rocking in the free world!" Love this Dan! Americana! Fun! Perfect! You've captured our spirit, the old ways, perfectly!
Love what you created Dan, so many wonderful little touches added that turns this project into AWESOME!
Great stamping Dan, I love your use of the star burst type design behind lady L and the green BG behind the USA really helps the stamps pop.
Always a pleasure stopping by. Mark
So cool... these Americana blueprints are so dynamic but as a fellow Brit I wonder how I'd use them... but there's no denying they look fantastic. Brilliant make, Dan!
