Trading Places!

Last week I spent a few days staying with my friend Linda and in the midst of a long day of crafting, we set each other a challenge - I had to make something that looked as if Linda had made it, and she had to make something that looked as if I had made it. This is my attempt!

Although I've had some grungepaper for ages, this is the first time I've ever used it! The biggest problem is that the butterflies should have tiny beads along their bodies, and though I knew this, it was just one step too far outside my comfort zone for me to do it! LOL Having said that, I don't think I did too badly! If you're not familiar with Linda's style, check out her blog

http://acraftingjourney.blogspot.com/

and let me know how well (or badly!) I did :o) You should also be able to see her "Dan tag" - Did she capture my style? Like the beads on this tag, she also did one thing on hers that I would never do - can you spot what it is? It was a lot of fun, as was the whole visit - thanks to Linda for being such a great and fun host, and to her partner John for some delicious meals! :o)

Seen this up close and it does look like Linda made it...save for the beady bits of course...and am loving the challenge you set each other...and...dont' tell her but..it just goes to show how utterly versatile you both are at making ART!
I give you 10/10 too :O))

Hugs x

Dan...your attempt to emulate Linda's style definitely has a Wendy Vecchi style to it. As far as Linda's attempt at "you"...I don't think I have ever seen you use an edge/border punch!! What a fun "exercise" for you both to do. Hisses, Rockin Robin

You both did very well in mimicking eachothers styles. Way to go! Linda's tag does look very "Danish" but I don't believe you would use a border punch! Just my opinion! Great job you two.
