A bit of financial advice

The theme over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "Big Stamp", right in my wheelhouse - I love big stamps, they're so much more versatile than small ones.  Why not dig out one of your big stamps and create something for the Challenge - you could be the winner of a $50 voucher to shop at Simon Says Stamp.

I decided to break out the wide stripes stamp from Simon Says Stamp, it's 6 inches square so big enough for the front of most cards.  I stamped it here with Mustard Seed distress ink and then stamped again with Fired Brick.  See how perfectly the stripes line up?  I love this stamp!  I did the same thing on the canopy piece and then used a circle punch to cut the scallops and fixed them along the edge.  The canopy is slightly raised on 3d foam pieces.

I stamped the chemist and then gave him a circus-appropriate makeover with promarkers.  I used my crop-o-dile to punch two small circles for his buttons and used a black pen to create the faux stitching around his patch and the patch on the circus tent.

The financial advice stickers were printed on the computer, cut out, distressed with Gathered Twigs distress ink and then fixed in place.  As a finishing touch I added the Cirque stamp from the Big Top set and distressed the edges with Gathered Twigs ink before matting the whole thing on black card and then mounting it on my square card.

Supplies I used included:

Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week, just make something for the challenge and you could the winner! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)

Great card Dan. That stripe stamp has stamped so cleanly - it looks fab.

Hope you have been enjoying the Easter weekend, even though the weather hasn't been great.
