How to Make a Pocket Art Journal

As promised the other day, here is a video showing how I made the pocket art journal I posted here a couple of days ago.  Below the video is a supply list and downloadable template for you to use if you want to make your own.

(BTW There is still time to enter the Simon Says Stamp and Show 6x6 paper challenge here, you could win a prize!)

Settle down with some popcorn, press play, hit the "full screen" button and enjoy! :)

Supply list:
  • 2 x 5" squares of chipboard
  • Patterened paper or cardstock, 2 x 6" squares and 2 x 5" squares.
  • Grungeboard, 5" x 2" and 1/2" x 4"
  • 7 matching large brads
  • 2 large eyelets
  • 1 Tim Holtz idea-ology buckle and brad
  • Adhesive (I recommend Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue).
  • 18" string, twine or narrow ribbon for binding
  • Distress ink and ink blending tool
  • An Ornate Plate (or other bookplate) and 2 brads (optional)

Thank you for sharing this tutorial video for the traveling art journal. I always carry one with me and sometimes decorate the covers, but I like the versatility of being able to add pages to it as I work on it as per your design. I also loved the idea of using grungeboard to make the belts. I just noticed that I hadn't joined your list of followers, so I'm your new one. Blessings!
