This weeks theme on the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge is "Idea-ology Bonanza". Embellishments aren't usually a major part of my style, but I'm a big fan of the idea-ology line so was keen to see what I could do with this theme! I decided to paint the ornate plates white, which (if I have my style references right) gave them an antique Swedish feel. I embossed the panels to give them the feel of wallpaper, hoping to make the plates seem a little like mirrors. I'll let you judge how successful I was, but that's what I was going for :)
Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)

Love this - and my fave embossing folder too if I'm not mistaken, Morrocan Screen? Looks great :-)
Nice cards! I like the embossed backgrounds and the frames look great painted white w/the vintage images inside. :)
Lovely project Dan. The embossing really creates the 'feel' of this piece and the frames look super in white.

How effective does the embossing look on this piece DAN, love it especially the whitewashed effect you have created on your Idea-ology pieces. The vintage images are the perfect addition. Enjoy your week. Tracy x x
Dan, Love it! Love the embossed background and the ornate plates painted white. I'm not sure if they look more Swedish or not as I'm not "up" on styles from different countries so much. All I know is that it looks fantastic! <3 Candy
I love this piece so much and it really is the perfect Swedish tone of winter white!!! Bring on the cabins. The ornate plates look just fabulous and your whole design is a beauty...
Super cool framing piece, Dan! I love the way you put this together...the layout is so cool!
