I cut this purse-shaped favour box from kraft cardstock, on my Cricut, then decorated it with stamped panels and stamped (and hand-drawn) faux stitching. Finished it off by dying some cheesecloth using Adiriondack ColorWash sprays and using a strip from it to tie a bow closure.
Our ever-generous sponsor Simon Says Stamp is offering a $50 gift voucher as the prize again this week! The winner will be chosen at random from those who enter the challenge, so why not give it a try? At the very least why not head over to the Challenge Blog to see how the other members of the design team have interpreted this weeks theme! :)

Super little bag! Love the colors. The stitching is so "real" looking! I so like the way you did a varied stitch length (I think that's what it's called -- space between the stiches?) The stained muslin bow looks very nice, as well. Great project. :)
This is beautiful Dan. Love how you have coloured the bow - everything works so well together.
Toni :o)
BRILLIANT just love it, love the colours and it looks so real - excellent. Just love your blog too.

Gorgeous. My sewing machine is VERY dusty ..much easier to do the faux. Love the colours
Cute bags !!
Beautiful bag! It doesn't look like you made it out of paper! Stunning.
Very clever, Dan, as always!
WOW thats a fantastic bag Dan, love the colours x
Great purse, Dan! For not being a pro-stitcher as you said, you have mastered the world of faux stitching! I love the colors too!

love it!
Love it!I thought it was real when I first saw it!
I love it :-) My new ambition is to graduate to zig zag faux stitching, instead of straight stitches LOL. The colours are great too!
Oh I love it.
Oh my, love the bag, the colour and the muslin bow and the stitching... I'd actually use that bag if it weren't paper - soggy bags are not a good look!!
very classy, I admire the way it is coloured looks so much like a real leather bag - perhaps a prop from the importance of being ernest
That is fab Dan, really amazing

What a little stunner. I would say show it off but I don't think you will!!! Love the rich colours and sharp lines together and a fabulous bow too. Watch out that feminine side is surfacing...
Great piece!
Great bag!
Your piece is totally wonderful and your post title just cracked me up!
Nice bag/purse. What cartridge is this bag/purse on? Thanks
I don't use cartridges Fairy, I designed this bag on my computer and then cut it on the Cricut using Sure Cuts a Lot software.
