A fond farewell... (but not "goodbye"!)

First of all, today's challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog is "In the family".  Why not dream up something fantastically familial and join them this week, you could win a $50 gift voucher to spend on their online store!

Unfortunately I am not taking part myself this week - I've torn my achilles' tendon and my leg will be in plaster for the next 3 or 4 months.  This means I'm unable to comfortably sit at either my computer or crafting desk for any length of time, so I'm bowing out for the time being.  Simon Says Stamp have kindly given me a leave of absence and I'll hopefully return to the fold once things get back to normal here again.

Adios (for now)! :)

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about your injury but I whole heartedly agree with your taking a leave from any activity...my husband tore his Achilles Tendon in 2002, they did casting therapy for only 6 weeks and within days of removing the plaster cast and sending him back to work, the Achilles Tendon completely tore...33 months, 7 surgeries and a bad infection which almost cost him his leg, they finally fashioned a new 'Achilles' using his big toe tendon...you are being wise to rest and put no pressure on that leg for 3-4 months! Wishing you many Blessings,

  8. I hope you feel better soon. I sprained my ankle badly once, a 2.75 out of the three connections, so I really commiserate. Make sure you elevate and when it starts to feel better don't go dancing right away!
